Key Responsibilities of a Social Service Analyst:

  • Gather, review, and analyze complex financial reports and data sets for compliance with state and federal standards.
  • Understand and apply federal regulations to various service providers, with comprehensive training provided.
  • Independently analyze documentation and provide technical assistance.
  • Learn and implement Pennsylvania's policies and procedures for Title IV-E allowable claiming for foster care providers, addressing both direct and indirect costs.
  • Collect and accurately enter findings into a database.
  • Perform data management, including creating and managing queries.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and Access.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage concurrent assignments effectively.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in business, accounting, social work, public policy, or a closely related field; OR
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in child welfare and Title IV-E eligibility, policy, or invoicing; OR
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in financial management and invoicing for federal and state funds.
