Start date: June 2024, want to select candidate by end of April 2024

 

Salary starts at $100,000.00 a year.

 

The physician role is 24/7, (as below in essential duties and responsibilities), but actual in office time is limited to 21, working hours per week, give or take, dependent on patient needs and up to 7 hours remote per week. Physician must be board certified or board eligible. The position includes malpractice insurance coverage and a competitive annual starting salary that increases with panel size and time. This is a hybrid Direct Primary Care (DPC) practice. Our goal is to restore the physician-patient relationship, allow the physician sufficient time to spend with a patient to solve the underlying problem, and provide the tools and equipment necessary to work to 100% of your medical license.

 

What is Direct Primary Care?

 

· Panel size of no more than 500 patients

 

· No “cattle” mentality - typically 4-7 patient visits per day

 

· Many patient interactions occur digitally via text, email and telephone

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

 

The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all-inclusive.

 

· Shift in mentality from reactive episodic care to long term health and wellness

 

· Provide highly personalized care in a private office setting

 

· Teach patients about their chronic conditions to put them in control of their health

 

· Happily answer patients when they ask questions

 

· You must be accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (including work email and company cell phone access). You must always carry the cell phone; office emails will be set up on your cell phone. These are paid for by the company.

 

· Full commitment to providing personalized, on-demand and highly service-oriented care

 

· Same-day and acute care visits to meet individual needs

 

· We do not see patients on the weekend

 

· Flexibility to see patients who cannot travel

 

· Patient “courtesy” hospital visits when schedule permits

 

· Strive to deliver patient-centered and service-oriented ongoing care that upholds the utmost highest medical standards

 

Take a patient’s medical history

Exam patients

Conduct GYN services, skin checks, prostate checks, fecal occult checks & breast exams

Update charts and patient information to show current findings and treatments

Performing or ordering tests for nurses or other healthcare staff to perform

Making diagnosis

Making referral recommendations to specialists

Maintaining as much care in house, as possible, for patient convenience

Review test results to identify any abnormal findings

Recommend and design a plan of treatment

Prescribing new & maintaining old medications

Comfortable with prescribing controlled medications for acute & chronic conditions

Comfortable with managing weight loss medications and in ordering in office injections

Address concerns or answer questions that patients, or authorized individual(s), have about their health and well-being

Help patients take care of their health by discussing topics such as proper nutrition and hygiene

· Assess and treat a range of conditions that occur in everyday life. These conditions include anything from sinus and respiratory infections to broken bones.

 

· Vaccine recommendation

 

· Performing follow up exams and communicating to staff when follow up appts are warranted

 

· Maintain Medical License and CME

 

· Maintain DEA license

 

· Available to answer questions regarding patient care, that the other provider in the office may have

 

· Coverage of acute care visits & controlled medication refills of the other provider in the office, when on vacation

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

· Doctorate of Medicine (Medical Degree)

 

· Current Unrestricted Arizona Medical License

 

· Board Certification or Board Eligible

 

· DEA License
