Mozaic, LLC (www.mozaic-llc.com) is a small, independent, privately-owned investment management firm located in Beverly Hills with nearly $4 billion in assets. Our clients are ultra-high net worth individuals, foundations, and corporations.

The Investment Operations Associate is responsible for providing support to the company’s investment operations team.

The position requires the following skills and attributes:

  • A four-year college degree from a reputable college or university with at least 3+ years of operational experience within wealth management, investment banking, consulting, private equity, venture capital, business insights/analytics or a specialized financial services role.
  • Impeccable organization and project management skills, and the ability to maintain and constantly update a highly detailed project list.
  • Energetic and excited about working, because, after all, this is a job.
  • Works with focus and purpose, at a fast pace and without distractions. Our workflow here moves very quickly sometimes, and we do not have time to wait for laggards.
  • Able to meet agreed upon deadlines, and work under deadline pressures from time to time.
  • Able to manage stress well, prioritize tasks, and complete multiple project assignments from several people simultaneously in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral, including great spelling and proofreading skills.
  • Able to take detailed notes and follow specific directions.
  • Able to follow and repeat established company processes, even if they recur at irregular intervals (i.e. not forgetting how to do them in between occurrences).
  • Able to consistently arrive at work on time and work a full day, even when unsupervised.
  • Impeccable attention to detail in spelling and math.
  • Excellent memory and does not need constant reminding about prior training.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. 
  • Critical and logical thinking.
  • Able to think ahead rather than needing to be told what to do each step of the way.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Able to navigate confidently and logically through unstructured problem-solving situations.
  • Able to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Even-tempered, not volatile or emotional, able to resolve conflicts in a positive manner that doesn’t alienate our clients or their assistants.

More detail about the position

The Investment Operations Associate will be responsible for a wide variety of projects including, but not limited to: 

  • Receiving and reviewing incoming client communications, executing all client transactions, verifying the accuracy of daily cash and position reconciliations.
  • Preparing/editing/distributing specialized or complex documents.
  • Completing and submitting account documents as well as subscription agreements for limited partnership investments.
  • Assisting the investment team with the distribution of client performance reports.
  • Communicating with business managers, accountants, custodians, and representatives of investment firms to ensure the timely receipt of statements, cash flows, tax documents, and other financial information related to clients.
  • Assisting the firm's senior team members with client onboarding and maintenance.
  • Providing excellent customer service to internal and external clients.
  • Other general company accounting, back office, and treasury operations.

This position offers a competitive salary based on experience ranging from $78 thousand – 100 thousand per year total compensation (base + bonus). This is a full-time, in-office position located in Beverly Hills. Because of our highly cohesive and collaborative style of daily interaction, we require candidates to be fully vaccinated prior to their first day of employment for the safety and well-being of all team members (certain exceptions apply).
