Key Responsibilities:

  • Analysis and Modeling:

  • Map Production:
    • Create detailed maps and visualizations using GIS software.

    • Provide technical support and training to staff and stakeholders on GIS tools and applications.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve GIS-related issues and software problems.
    • Stay updated on the latest GIS technologies and best practices.
  • Project Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with project teams to understand their GIS needs and objectives.
    • Participate in project planning and provide GIS expertise to enhance project outcomes.
    • Prepare documentation and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Cartography, Environmental Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Experience:
    • 3 years of experience working with GIS software and spatial data analysis.
    • Experience with ArcGIS is required.
    • Familiarity with database management and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python) is desirable.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in GIS software and spatial analysis tools.
    • Excellent map-making and data visualization abilities.
    • Good understanding of geographic concepts and cartographic principles.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Certifications:
    • GIS certification (e.g., GIS Professional (GISP)) is preferred but not required.
