IT Asset Manager
American Cruise Lines, the largest cruise line in the United States, has an immediate opening for a Manager, IT Assets based in its Guilford, CT corporate office. This position will work closely with the Director of Information Technology to establish controls for technology assets.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain a process for IT asset management covering all hardware, software, and licenses.
- Coordinate with vendors to purchase devices, hardware and software
- Properly record all software and hardware purchases in relevant database.
- Establish lifecycle replacement and management policies.
- Implement and maintain a software license management processes, ensuring compliance with license agreements.
- Provide reporting and analysis of IT asset utilization and costs, including software license compliance and optimization recommendations.
- Establish employee / contractor policy and documentation acknowledging receipt of and responsibilities for company property.
Requirements:
- 3 years of experience in IT asset management, with a proven track record of successfully managing large portfolios.
- Must have a strong understanding of software licensing agreements, subscription models, and maintenance agreements.
- Experience negotiating and managing agreements to control costs.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of IT asset management processes and best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage tasks independently.
- Ability to evaluate alternatives and present solutions that are consistent with business objectives and strategy.
