We are seeking a highly motivated Assistant Manager to help oversee our newest storage property. Candidate will oversee all aspects of lease transactions, customer service, debt collection, record-keeping, and security. This individual will be responsible for the efficient and effective operations of the property through general property maintenance, outside the box thinking, developing effecting branding and marketing strategies, and a cheerful outlook that reflects a desire to maintain the highest level of customer service and respect for customers.

Job Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • Renting lease spaces & selling store merchandise
  • Working face-to-face with customers, providing excellent service and build excellent rapport with new and existing customers.
  • Accepting payments and completing daily deposits
  • Must pass a detailed background check including a DMV check.
  • Must be able to work multiple locations if requested (we compensate for gas expenses)
  • Physical requirements of the job include daily walks of the property, cleaning the units and the property, and similar light activities.
  • Other general office duties
  • Developing customer relationships by identifying self-storage needs and providing appropriate solutions while delivering a WOW or 5-Star service
  • Interacting face to face with customers, providing excellent service, and building rapport
  • Meeting monthly sales goals and metrics
  • Working both independently and on a team renting self-storage spaces, selling store merchandise, managing the leasing process, accepting payments utilizing our Point-of-Sale System (POS), completing daily bank deposits, and making courtesy calls to customers regarding late payments
  • Keeping a clean and safe storage facility to ensure condition meets company guidelines (i.e., clean restrooms, landscaping, parking, and paving, fence, walls, doors)
  • While performing the duties of this job, you will be frequently required to stand, sit, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, climb or balance on a ladder

Qualifications:

  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Basic knowledge of Google and Apple mobile apps.
  • Basic understanding of general office networking
  • Exemplary face-to-face and phone customer service
  • Ability to lift to 50 pounds is required.
  • Prior management or leasing experience with steady work history preferred.
  • Must be able to enthusiastically sell company products and services in person and on the telephone.
  • Must have a flexible schedule with weekend availability.
