We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Moving Center Manager to join our team at U-Haul.

Job Description

The Moving Center Manager will be responsible for managing the daily operations of our moving and storage center, ensuring that customers receive the highest quality of care and that our center remains profitable and efficient.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the fleet of moving equipment to ensure clean and well-maintained vehicles.
  • Perform profit/loss analyses to identify areas for improvement.
  • Hire and mentor new team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
  • Track and itemize inventory to ensure accurate stock levels.
  • Manage the personnel budget to ensure that we are operating within our means.
  • Ensure that customers receive the highest quality of care, including prompt and courteous service.
  • Keep track of fuel receipts and petty cash to ensure that our expenses are accurately accounted for.
  • Clean and monitor the premises to ensure that they are safe and secure.
  • Participate in ongoing continuous education through U-Haul University to stay up-to-date on the latest industry trends and best practices.
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of management experience in retail or another service industry with responsibility for financial results and customer satisfaction.
  • Computer expertise, including proficiency in inventory management and financial analysis software.
  • Organizational expertise, including the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Management proficiency in high-volume retail with profit and loss (P&L) accountability.
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to maintain a good driving record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Able to work weekends and holidays.

Salary Range

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Located in Sherwood, Oregon, this position requires a valid driver's license and the ability to maintain a good driving record.
