The primary responsibility of assistant bookkeeper is to serve as a back up to the main accountant. Tasks vary from entry of invoices, deposits, payments and receipts entered into Quickbooks. There is also onboarding of new hires and keeping HR records organized. Payroll is processed weekly through ADP with hourly, salary, and cash/cc tips involved. Much of the assistant bookkeeper’s time is spent organizing data and dealing with paperwork.
