Established, successful manufacturer is hiring an Accountant to join their team. The Accountant will report to the Accounting Manager and have the opportunity to be diverse in their business mix and learn new tasks.  In this role you will be responsible for the following tasks:
 

  • Own the A/R process, including reconciliation, invoice processing, statement delivery, price matching in the ERP system, etc. 
  • Support and assist with A/P processes, including facilitate payments to vendors, review purchase orders, resolve discrepancies, complete check runs and process up to 200 payables per month
  • Aid in monthly closing process, including completing journal entries and general ledger activities 
  • Process sales tax
  • Reconcile credit card statements
  • Monitor cash management on a daily basis 
  • Provide backup support for payroll as needed 
  • Assist with accounting improvements and the budgeting and forecasting process
  • Other tasks as assigned by management

REQUIREMENTS for the Accountant:
1. A bachelor’s degree is highly preferred, an associate's degree is required 
2. Depending on the level of education, at least 1-3 years performing similar accounting functions 
3. Working knowledge of debits and credits
4. Experience completing reconciliation and journal entries 
5. Experience supporting month and year-end closing functions 

6. Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs

Skills preferred but NOT required:
1. Experience performing accounting functions within manufacturing environments  
2. Budgeting and forecasting experience  

3. Experience with dashboards, such as Cognos, Power BI, etc.  

4. A/R and/or A/P experience 

5. Cash management 

6. Sales tax 


Candidates are required to be local to the Findlay, Ohio area.  There is not a relocation package being offered at this time.
