POSITION SUMMARY:

The role of the Collections and Credit Analyst encompasses various responsibilities including data management, overseeing customer accounts, ensuring prompt payments, and maintaining comprehensive customer records. The position involves performing clerical tasks such as filing, requesting credit references, conducting research, and other duties as assigned by the Credit and Collections Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Facilitate the processing of credit applications by reaching out to customers for additional information, requesting credit references, uploading necessary documents, and meticulously documenting all findings during the credit investigation in OneNote.
  • Establish new customer accounts.
  • Conduct audits of customer files and solicit updated documentation as required.
  • Analyze sales volume and payment history to propose credit line modifications to the Credit and Collections Manager when necessary.
  • Engage with customers regarding overdue balances to secure timely payments.
  • Record daily collection activities.
  • Address customer inquiries, including providing invoice copies, statements, and investigating payment discrepancies.
  • Collaborate closely with team members and sales personnel to resolve customer-related issues.
  • Maintain and update tracking spreadsheets for prospects and projects.
  • Input and refresh project data in the Commercial Credit and Collections Services (NCS) system to safeguard lien rights.
  • Undertake special projects or tasks as required.
  • Execute additional assignments as directed by the Manager.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial collections, administrative support, and clerical functions.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a strong focus on quality and accuracy.
  • Proficient in PC applications, including MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, OneNote), with a quick adaptability to new systems.
  • Strong analytical and organizational capabilities.
