We’re looking for a new field technician that will help us deliver on our mission – Happy Clients.

Duties will comprise of
* Identifying and resolving computer software/hardware issues in a timely manner.
* Onsite visits at our clients in the Greater Chicagoland area for equipment installs, trainings, and when required, support and troubleshooting (a reliable car will be needed).
* Assist our team in ensuring our clients are happy with our service

* Answering customer support calls and providing support for requests such as network password resets, group membership, office 365 issues, break fix troubleshooting, print mapping/troubleshooting, etc.
* Must have strong technical troubleshooting skills and be able to diagnose and resolve moderately complex system hardware,
software, server, network, and operator issues.

* Must have experience troubleshooting firewall issues, toning out network ports, and racking equipment cleanly
* Must enjoy interacting with customers face to face and be able to translate technical explanations to end users, peers, computer technicians and other

* Must be adapt at working through multiple issues for multiple clients on a daily basis

* Must be thorough at tracking time per issue and documenting root causes, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions
* Assume additional responsibilities as assigned and required.

 

Position Requirements
Formal Education & Certification
* College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and/or 3-5 years equivalent work experience.
* Microsoft Certified Professional preferred


Knowledge & Experience
* Must have basic experience working with Active Directory.

· Must have basic experience working with Office 365 and Azure AD. Knowledge of working with Intune is a plus.
* Must understand basic security concepts* Extensive understanding of MS Office applications.
* Knowledge of remote access applications and troubleshooting.
* Knowledge of troubleshooting workstations and laptops
* Troubleshoot computer peripherals, scanner and printers.

* Connect Wise Manage and Automate Experience is a HUGE plus

* 3-5 yrs. of support experience required.
* Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present ideas with clarity in user-friendly language.
* Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills.
* Strong documentation skills.
* Ability to conduct research into a wide range of computing issues as required.
* Ability to synthesize and apply new technical information.
* Highly self-motivated and directed
* Keen attention to detail, with proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
* Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
