CALLING ALL ROOFING EXPERTS

We are partnered with a premiere construction roofing company in search of Roofing Service Manager.

This position will be the first in this established location- and work with production team to build out department.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Lead the service department, fostering company growth.

· Enhance work measurements and performance standards.

· Compile operating reports, including time, attendance, terminations, hires, transfers, budgets, and performance data.

· Stay informed on design requirements, codes, and materials for accurate proposal and contract preparation.

· Ensure professional appearance of service vehicles, equipment, and employees.

· Report significant issues and sales opportunities to supervisors.

· Conduct daily meetings with repair technicians to review activities.

· Keep up-to-date with roofing developments and technologies.

· Collaborate with supervisors and estimators to manage service and maintenance crews.

· Work with production superintendents on policy development and training initiatives.

· Supervise employees to maximize performance and conduct wage and job performance reviews.

· Hold monthly meetings with project managers and field workers.

· Identify and provide necessary training for repair technicians.

· Recruit, train, and retain a skilled maintenance workforce.

· Instruct best practices for roofing service, inspection, and maintenance.

· Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety regulations.

· Identify safety needs and submit accident and injury reports.

· Maintain customer relationships and satisfaction.

· Schedule and coordinate service work.

· Prepare cost estimates and proposals.

· Oversee projects and manage department workflow.

· Handle department finances, including budgets and project invoicing.

· Review jobs, time tickets, and material invoices.

· Manage billing and collections processes.

· Analyze budget reports, prepare modifications, and monitor accounts receivables.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Work Skills:

· Familiarity with company products and services.

· Ability to manage multiple jobs simultaneously.

Work Preferences:

· Enjoy unpredictability and solving problems.

Analysis:

· Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and conducting roof inspections.

Roof System Knowledge:

· Understand various roof systems and repair methods; ability to teach others.

Project Management:

· Coordinate projects, communicate changes effectively, and monitor progress.

Problem Solving & Communication:

· Interpret legal documents, OSHA regulations, professional journals, and work-related documents.

Education and Experience

Essential

· Experience in roofing production supervision.

· Fluency in English.

· OSHA 30-hour certification.

· Valid driver's license.

· Proficiency with business technology.

Preferred

· Five years of roofing production supervision experience.

· Bilingual fluency.

· CDL and specialized training (e.g., crane, forklift, rigging, roof system-specific training).
