Job Summary:

The Full-Charge Bookkeeper at SAV Relo is responsible for overseeing the financial transactions and records of the company. This role includes managing the entire accounting process, from accounts payable and receivable to payroll and financial reporting. The Full-Charge Bookkeeper ensures accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all financial matters, supporting the company’s financial health and operational success.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable:

  • Serve as the central point for all payable matters.
  • Understand the process flow of bills to be paid (Mail/Electronic/Other).
  • Gain access to vendor contacts and online logins to retrieve bills and statements directly.
  • Record and categorize expenses by project.
  • Support Accounts Receivable by gathering missing receipts needed for timely client billing.
  • Assist project managers with purchasing supplies and tracking spending trends.
  • Respond to requests promptly—follow up and resolve open issues.
  • Prepare and manage the regular bill due dates for general operating expenses.
  • Keep track of approvals of bills to pay in case there are questions later.
  • Weekly reporting – AP/Bills Due/Cash Available by Account/Cash Needed this week and upcoming.

Financial Reporting:

  • Generate and analyze financial reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to management based on financial data.

Bank Reconciliation:

  • Reconcile bank statements with company accounts.
  • Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts.
  • Identify and resolve any discrepancies in bank reconciliations.

Compliance and Auditing:

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
  • Prepare for and support financial audits, providing necessary documentation and information.

System Management:

  • Ensure that all financial software and tools are updated and functioning correctly.
  • Train relevant staff on the use of financial systems and tools as needed.

Vendor and Customer Relations:

  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with vendors and clients.
  • Negotiate payment terms and resolve any disputes or issues with vendors.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

Expense Management:

  • Monitor and control expenses to stay within budget.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to reduce expenses.

Documentation and Record Keeping:

  • Maintain accurate and organized records of all financial transactions.
  • Ensure all documentation is readily available for review and auditing purposes.
  • Maintain files for operating and project mail/statements/bills paid in an organized manner for easy access at the office and in shared files.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a full-charge bookkeeper or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
