This position will lead efforts performed by group members to ensure successful completion of electrical engineering project deliverables to meet all technical, quality, financial, and project controls expectations. Primary Job Functions:
This position will support various engineering projects with the following general responsibilities:
  • Lead team members through the conceptual and detailed design phases for all aspects of electrical engineering work to include interface and coordination with other disciplines and the client.
  • Develop project scope, cost estimates, and schedules for complex electrical modifications at Nuclear Power Plants.
  • Defining deliverables and conveying scope of work to group members.
  • Develop proposals for complex electrical modifications at Nuclear Power Plants.
  • Provide technical oversight and supervision for all electrical engineering activities including development of Engineering Change Packages, Engineering Calculations, and Equipment Specifications.
  • Interface with the client, including implementing personnel to validate scope and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Mentor and guide the development of the group team members.
  • Interface with project team members from other engineering and design disciplines (Mechanical, Structural, Civil, etc.).
  • Ensures good engineering practices are implemented by team members through guidance and leadership.
  • Initiate frequent exchanges with team members to resolve open issues, promote a supportive team approach, and address potential risks to project execution.
  • Support travel to client sites (based on project specific needs) for design reviews to support construction coordination and field verification of designs.

Qualification Requirements for Individual:
  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in the design of electrical engineering systems for nuclear power plants or related field.
  • Ability to travel between company, vendor, and client sites as required.
  • Ability to obtain nuclear power plant access as required.
  • Excellent attention to detail and capable of producing error-free documents.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent math, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and complete work in a timely fashion with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of electrical engineering systems design and analysis concepts.
  • Prefer previous nuclear experience, but not required.
  • Prefer P.E., but not required.
