Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and implementation of automation systems and tooling for both new and existing production lines.
  • Collaborate with Program Management and R&D teams to provide automation and control expertise for production equipment and tooling.
  • Coordinate with various departments to develop detailed plans for infrastructure enhancements and capital expenditures.
  • Manage scheduling and collaboration for special projects and internal studies.
  • Enhance equipment design to improve production efficiency.
  • Prepare cost estimates and statements of work for tooling and equipment projects.
  • Oversee the design and build processes for outsourced systems.
  • Supervise the installation of equipment and tooling, supporting maintenance and production efforts.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and investigate their potential applications.
  • Uphold the highest ethical standards in all professional interactions.

Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of PLC and HMI programming.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting equipment issues.
  • Self-motivated with a detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
  • Solid mathematical and computer skills, along with familiarity with measuring instruments.
  • Ability to integrate existing methods with innovative solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline with a minimum of five years of relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with CAD systems is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Dependable and responsible, with the ability to work independently.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or Physical Sciences.
  • Experience in energetics and DOD environments is preferred.
  • Five years of experience in a manufacturing setting is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated maturity and a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and maintain integrity in all interactions.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to produce technical reports.

Work Schedule
This position follows a 4/10 workweek format, promoting a balanced work-life schedule.
