PRODUCTION LINE MECHANIC

*Must Have Experience Setting Up & Fixing Machines on a Production/Manufacturing Line*

We are seeking an experienced Production / Packaging Line Mechanic eager for an opportunity to apply skills in maintaining, repairing, and cleaning machinery used to manufacture dietary supplements, to a rapidly growing nutritional supplement company on Long Island.

As Production / Packaging Line Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance of all Capsule and Powder Packaging Line equipment and facility repairs. Prior experience repairing production/packaging line equipment and machinery is required. You must be able to set up and operate the packaging line machines (adjust settings during operation if necessary), ensure proper functioning of equipment, diagnose and solve issues that arise before/during/or after production, and conduct routine maintenance procedures.

A successful Production / Packaging Line Mechanic is meticulous, hardworking, and has the ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve using critical thinking skills.

 

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

· Turning On Machines at the start of the shift and Shutting Down Packaging Line Machines at the end of the shift.

· Adjusting Packaging Line Machine Settings to run as required.

· Performing packaging line and facility repairs without assistance.

· Recognizing, Repairing, and Replacing damaged or worn parts.

· Testing packaging line machines and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure operating efficiency.

· Cleaning, lubricating, and performing other routine maintenance work on equipment and machinery.

· Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues.

· Reading and understanding operating manuals, technical drawings, etc.

· Operating and inspecting machines and equipment to ensure proper functioning.

· Diagnosing malfunctions and determining required repairs or replacement of parts.

· Assembling and Disassembling Packaging Line Machines.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

· Previous Experience Working with Packaging Line Machinery and Equipment [REQUIRED]

· Experience with Pharmaceutical / Nutraceutical Machinery [PREFERRED] 

· Must Be Able to Schedule and Perform Preventative and Corrective Maintenance

· Strong Troubleshooting, Critical Thinking Skills, & Problem Solving Abilities

· Skilled in Repair, Maintenance, and Monitoring of Packaging Line Machines

· Bilingual Spanish (Strongly Preferred but not required)

 

JOB TYPE: Full-time

PAY: $25 - $40 Can Be Negotiated Based on Experience With Dietary Supplement Machinery
