Hantover, Inc. is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Field Sales Manager. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in industrial distribution sales, with a strong ability to develop and execute strategic plans that enhance our customer relationships and boost our sales targets. This position reports to the VP of Sales.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and Manage a team of territory sales representatives:

  • Provide guidance, training, and coaching to ensure the team achieves its sales targets.
  • Mentor, coach, and oversee the performance of territory sales representatives.
  • Conduct training sessions for the sales team to enhance their product knowledge, selling skills, and customer engagement.
  • Organizing and leading regular sales meetings to review progress, discuss strategies, and address challenges.
  • Work with sales management to establish sales territories, and goals for the sales team.
  • Analyze sales statistics to identify areas of improvement.

Business Development:

  • Cultivate relationships with key customers to maintain and expand the company’s market share.
  • Drive new business by identifying potential leads and converting them into long-term partners.
  • Collaborate with marketing to initiate promotional activities and campaigns.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Understand and cater to the individual needs of each client to provide tailored solutions.
  • Work with key accounts, ensuring that customer concerns and inquiries are addressed promptly.
  • Gather feedback to improve our product and service offerings.

Strategy & Planning:

  • Analyze current market trends and forecast future market conditions.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans in alignment with company objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline sales processes.
  • Work with territory reps to analyze the territory's market potential, identifying key opportunities, and allocating resources effectively to maximize sales outcomes.
  • Collaborate with senior management to set realistic sales targets and ensure alignment with the overall business objectives.

Reporting & Analytics:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales reports.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of current sales strategies and recommend improvements.
  • Track sales team metrics and report data to leadership on a regular basis.
  • Utilize the current CRM to analyze activities, efficiencies, and lead funnels

Continuous Learning:

  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, challenges, and competitive offerings.
  • Attend relevant training and workshops to improve knowledge and skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial distribution sales with at least 2 years in a managerial position.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Strong understanding of the industrial distribution landscape and customer needs.
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
  • Excellent mentoring, coaching, and leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
