Pace Systems, Inc. is a Comprehensive IT, Security, Electrical, Audio Visual, and Software Solutions located in Naperville, IL. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented IT Deployment Technician Level 1 to join our team to service client locations in the Chicagoland area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for deploying, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware and software systems in various environments. This position requires a working vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work in hospital clinical environments. The technician will also be responsible for taking technical inventory and ensuring the proper deployment of equipment.

 

Responsibilities:

· Deploy, install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems.

· Perform technical inventory of equipment, ensuring accurate records are maintained.

· Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.

· Collaborate with other IT staff to ensure seamless integration and functionality of deployed equipment.

· Provide technical support and training to end-users as needed.

· Ensure all deployed systems comply with organizational standards and policies.

· Document all processes and update records accurately.

· Conduct site surveys to assess and prepare deployment environments.

· Assist in the management of asset tracking and inventory control systems.

· Participate in the setup and teardown of IT equipment in various locations, including hospital clinical environments.

 

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.

· 1-2 years of experience in IT support or deployment roles.

· Valid driver’s license and reliable working vehicle.

· Ability to lift and transport IT equipment as needed.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, macOS, and common software applications.

· Basic networking knowledge and troubleshooting skills.

· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Experience working in hospital clinical environments is a plus.

 

Essential Duties:

· Technical Inventory: Accurately track and manage inventory of IT equipment, ensuring all assets are properly recorded and maintained.

· Equipment Deployment: Deploy and configure computers, peripherals, and software in various environments, ensuring proper functionality and user satisfaction.

· Technical Support: Provide first-level technical support for hardware and software issues, escalating more complex problems to higher-level technicians or support teams as necessary.

· Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of all deployment activities, configurations, and support incidents.

· Compliance and Standards: Ensure all IT deployments adhere to organizational policies, security standards, and best practices.

· User Training: Assist in training end-users on the proper use of deployed equipment and software.

· Travel: Utilize a personal vehicle to travel to various deployment sites, including hospital clinical environments, as required.
