We are seeking a highly qualified Deputy Program Manager with extensive experience in shipbuilding to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in ship construction, propulsion systems, and project management. You must be able to travel along the Gulf Coast or to PMO up to DC.

Deputy Program Manager Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of shipbuilding programs, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of propulsion systems relevant to shipbuilding, including the ability to oversee the integration and testing of propulsion components
  • Manage and supervise ship construction activities, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with specifications, regulations, and safety standards
  • Work closely with the Program Manager to develop and manage project budgets, allocate resources efficiently, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
  • Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks, challenges, and obstacles throughout the shipbuilding process to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Establish effective communication channels with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients, providing regular updates on project progress, milestones, and any deviations from the plan.
Deputy Program Manager Position Requirements
  • 10 years of hands-on experience in shipbuilding, with a focus on both construction and propulsion systems]
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex shipbuilding projects, demonstrating strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Strong knowledge of ship propulsion systems, naval architecture, and marine engineering. Familiarity with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure
