In general, the Customer Service Representative - Agency Support is responsible for prompt and efficient processing of new business, renewals, cancellations, and changes at the Home Office level.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process the paperless only and electronic bond purchasing systems new and renewal business, cancellations, and endorsements.
  • Prepare billing invoices, continuation certificates, policies, and cancellation and reinstatements notices for outgoing mail.
  • Communicate with branch and field personnel and agents regarding processing transactions.
  • Assist agents in utilizing the electronic bond purchasing systems and the company website.
  • Retrieve credit reports using computer software as requested by the Underwriting Department.
  • Prepare various types of correspondence for the Home Office Underwriters including memos and branch audit materials.
  • Create new bond and credit files for Home Office Underwriters.
  • Perform various administrative tasks, including but not limited to: faxing, scanning, copying, reviewing and distributing various reports, and collateral processing.
  • Other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:
This position requires a High School diploma, or equivalent, and a minimum of two years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Working as a Customer Service Representative - Agency Support requires one to work independently and effectively within a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft (MS) Windows and Office products is necessary. Other skills necessary include excellent oral and written communication skills, strong organizational and accurate proofreading skills, the ability to maintain accurate records, the ability to exercise discretion with confidential information, strong attention to detail, and the ability to use a variety of office equipment.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
This position requires one to sit for extended periods of time and stand and/or walk occasionally. The position requires one to occasionally push, pull, carry, and/or lift up to 10 pounds. No personal protective equipment is required. Ergonomic equipment is available to employees.
