A New York City based government contractor is looking for a Call Center Representative who can speak Fluent Spanish, Mandarin, Russian, Yiddish, Bengali, Korean, Creole, Italian, Arabic, or Polish. The right candidate will be experienced in customer service or client relations, able to work with applicants who are undergoing hardship situations, be able to communicate complex policies and guide people through them and have the ability to conduct quality control on submitted documentation. This position is a perfect role for those looking to get experience working with government programs.

We have in-house experts covering virtually every aspect of program implementation.

The duties will vary but in general the following are expected:

  • Provide customer service / client support for program applicants, assisting with inquiries and managing them through steps in the processes
  • Conduct quality control reviews of submitted documents to ensure proper completion of documentation and adherence to program procedure
  • Identify discrepancies between files and suggest program improvements by way of methods to avoid discrepancies
  • Provide clear, summary-level progress updates to managers
  • Provide clear, regular updates to program applicants on case status by phone and email
  • Manage and adhere to multiple simultaneous deadlines from working on concurrent cases
  • Other duties as required

The ideal candidate will meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Fluent Spanish, Mandarin, Russian, Yiddish, Bengali, Korean, Creole, Italian, Arabic, or Polish required
  • 2 - 3 years of customer service or case management experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Government related experience a plus
  • Risk management, compliance, or audit-related experience a plus
  • Strong research and writing skills
