Skilled Carpenter / Journeyman – Residential Remodel – Raleigh, NC

Blue Ribbon Residential Construction, Inc. is looking for a Skilled Carpenter / Journeyman for our mid to high-end residential remodeling projects.

We are seeking a highly skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong carpentry skills, adherence to project deadlines, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional results. The lead carpenter will play a role in assisting the project manager to successfully execute our projects, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Flexible to take on a variety of responsibilities as assigned.

· Gather materials for workers to handle on job sites.

· Keep job sites clean and equipment/tools organized.

· Perform carpentry at the highest skill level with minimal direct supervision.

· Ability to layout and install stud framing walls, doors, windows, cabinets, interior trim, base, casing, crown, etc. with superior craftsmanship.

· Ability to install and finish basic drywall, paint, and stain.

· Assist with expediting the timely completion of assigned work to main project schedules and budget goals.

· Perform work safely and follow all company policies and procedures.

· Train and mentor junior carpenters and construction crew members.

· Conduct yourself in a professional, positive, and courteous manner at all times.

· Establish good working relationships with other team members.

· Foster positive communications and relationships with clients, vendors, subs, and team members.

Qualifications

· At least four (4) or more years in residential remodeling construction as a carpenter.

· Experience using CoConstruct or other project management related software.

· The ability to read and understand construction documents.

· Eye for detail with a focus on quality and craftsmanship.

· Maintain a valid driver’s license and state required insurance.

· Dress and groom neatly and professionally.

· Must be able to successfully complete a background check and be authorized to work in the U.S.

· Ability to travel to job sites.
