Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Process Engineer to join our manufacturing team. The Process Engineer will play a key role in optimizing production processes, improving product quality, and ensuring operational efficiency in the manufacturing of degreasing products. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and enhancement of our manufacturing capabilities while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancement in the manufacturing of degreasing products. Develop and implement strategies to optimize production processes, reduce waste, and increase throughput.
  • Product Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the quality control team to establish and maintain rigorous quality standards for degreasing products. Conduct root cause analysis of quality issues and implement corrective actions to ensure consistent product quality.
  • Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Oversee the maintenance and operation of manufacturing equipment, including degreasers, mixers, reactors, and packaging machinery. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
  • Process Documentation and Compliance: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of manufacturing processes, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and equipment specifications. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to product manufacturing and safety.
  • Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Lead and participate in cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing operation. Utilize lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to streamline processes, reduce costs, and enhance overall operational performance.
  • New Product Development Support: Collaborate with R&D teams to scale up new product formulations from lab-scale to full production. Provide technical expertise and guidance on process scalability, equipment selection, and production feasibility.
  • Safety and Environmental Compliance: Champion a culture of safety and environmental stewardship within the manufacturing facility. Implement best practices for hazardous material handling, waste management, and pollution prevention to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and minimize environmental impact.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in process engineering or manufacturing within the chemical or related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of chemical manufacturing processes, including batch processing, reaction engineering, and distillation.
  • Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, ChemCAD) and familiarity with process control systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and a results-oriented mindset.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven track record of driving process improvement initiatives and delivering measurable results.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and safety standards applicable to chemical manufacturing operations.
