Location: Waco, TX (Hybrid/Flexible)

Baylor Line Foundation, a nonprofit newsroom committed to telling the stories of Baylor University and its community, is seeking a Chief of Staff who will serve as both an executive assistant to the CEO and the head of operations.

This role is perfect for a recent college graduate who thrives on innovation, technology, and problem-solving. You’ll play a key role in shaping our internal culture, streamlining processes, and ensuring the success of our newsroom.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Executive Support: Provide high-level administrative support to the CEO, managing schedules, correspondence, and key projects.

Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of all departments and team workflows.

Strategic Coordination: Act as a liaison between the CEO and staff, driving initiatives that align with the organization’s mission and goals.

Process Optimization: Implement tech-driven solutions to improve operational efficiency and foster a collaborative work environment.

Project Management: Lead special projects, manage deadlines, and coordinate across teams to meet key milestones.

Team Leadership: Help build and maintain a culture of transparency, innovation, and growth.

 

Qualifications:

• Recent college graduate or up to 3 years of relevant experience.

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Proficiency with modern workplace technology (Google Workspace, project management tools, Slack, etc.).

• Passion for nonprofit work, journalism, and storytelling.

• Creative problem solver with a passion for continuous improvement.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
