Outreach Specialist is responsible for marketing our treatment and recovery support services to community organizations with the ability to refer clients to our program. The Outreach Specialist person is also responsible for canvassing communities, shelters, soup ketches, as well as under bridges in the Metro-Atlanta area, and engage homeless substance users in dialogue aimed at motivating them into our treatment program.

·         To be an Outreach Specialist with Men and Women for Human Excellence, Inc. in Georgia, a person much be in recovery from substance and have at least two (2)years of complete abstinence from all illicit drugs, as well as alcohol. Their recovery time much be verified by a counselor, sponsor, or faith leader.
 

Outreach Specialist must complete the Georgia Council on Substance Abuse's Certified Addiction Recovery Empowerment Specialist (CARES) training, within one (1) year of their hire date.
