We're an Italian tile manufacturer with a state of the art facililty in Loudon, TN.  Currently we are hiring for a KILN Supervisor/Manager.

Position Summary: Supervises all aspects of plant during the day shift and weekend operations for a 24 X 7 manufacturing facility. The position is responsible for actively managing the performance of people and processes in a
manufacturing setting. Key performance areas include safety, quality overall equipment effectiveness, and operator productivity. Communicates all issues with the Department Managers, Plant Manager, HR Manager and Team Leaders as
applicable.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
 Oversees daily Kiln department operations.
 Directs Kiln Operators in performance of daily duties.
 Provides training/development to all Kiln Operators (New hires and current associates).
 Reviews scheduling and schedule assignments as necessary.
 Orders any necessary supplies for Kiln operations.
 Assists Kiln Supervisor in associate scheduling, performance evaluation process, discipline, etc.
 Implements continuous improvement for enhanced Kiln operations/efficiency.
 Addresses associate issues (i.e., job performance, training, time and attendance review, scheduling, corrective actions, etc.
 Performs necessary computer work for Kiln related functions.
 Interacts with Italy based operations for Kiln related matters.
 May assist with operating Kilns in accordance with established procedures.
 Ensures acceptable levels of production are met and quality standards are consistently achieved.
 Regularly inspects product to ensure quality standards are consistently achieved.
 Maintains work area in a neat, orderly, and safe condition.
 Coordinates and assist with modifications to kiln as needed to correct production and/or quality issues.
 Alerts superiors to any problems with production levels and/or quality standards.
 May operate forklift as needed. Assists size changes on the Kiln equipment as needed.
 Maintains production and quality control logs as required by established procedures.
 Comply with safety regulations (OSHA and Company) and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
 Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
Qualifications:
 Prior “lead/supervisory” experience required in a Kiln manufacturing environment.
 Must be willing to be “on-call” on a 24/7 basis.
 Experience with large format Kilns.
 Requires a high school diploma/GED. 5+ years of manufacturing experience required. (bachelor’s degree
preferred.)
 Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office to include Excel and PowerPoint.
 Must be hightly motivated and able to work independently.
