Position Overview:

The HR Generalist will play a key role in supporting the company’s human resources functions. This position requires a versatile professional who can handle a variety of HR responsibilities, ranging from recruitment and employee relations to benefits, administration, and compliance. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and making hiring recommendations.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, enduring a smooth transition and a positive first impression of the company.
  • Act as a point of contact for employee questions and concerns, fostering a positive and open work environment.
  • Provide training and oversight on policies and procedures.
  • Support the performance management process, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and development plans.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the HR Policies and procedures.
  • Assist with handling disciplinary issues.
  • Administrative duties, including upkeep of employee records (attendance, EEO data, unemployment, etc.)
  • Stay informed about relevant employment laws and regulations, ensuring the company’s compliance.
  • Perceptive nature, careful monitoring of working conditions to ensure legal compliance.

 

Qualifications:

  • Successful work experience as a Human Resources Generalist, officer, administrator, or other HR position
  • Strong working knowledge of HR functions and procedures (e.g. pay and benefits, recruitment, training, and development)
  • Commitment to staying current on the understanding of labor laws and disciplinary procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Aptitude for critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making.
  • Strength of character, ethics, and commitment, and reliability
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
