Responsibilities

  • Under close, ongoing direct supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst, the Registered Behavior Technician at the Only Victory Outreach Group is responsible for the direct day-to-day implementation of individual and or group behavior-analytic programs for children with behavioral difficulties, dependent on program placement.
  • The Registered Behavior Technician may assist the BCBA with training other staff or trainees on implementation of ABA procedures.
  • Responsible for implementing individualized treatment plans both to increase functional skills and to reduce challenging behaviors that interfere with learning.
  • Maintains data on program parameters and targeted behaviors for use in program and progress evaluations.
  • Duties will include activity set-up, direct care and instruction to group and/or individuals, using evidence-based procedures and teaching strategies, collecting and graphing data, and writing session notes.
  • The RBT may assist the BCBA with training, behavioral assessments, and documentation of client progress.
  • Ensures compliance with national, state, university practice policies and procedures.
  • May be required to lift or move up to approximately 50 lbs. and be able to assume or maintain a variety of postures (e.g., kneeling, squatting, sitting, standing, walking) for extended periods of time. Performs related responsibilities as required.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, behavioral science, or related field AND Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification.
  • At least 3 years of experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old, have reliable transportation and pass a background check.
