A&P Mechanic

At least 2 years of experience in an MRO environment or working on Fighter jets. Pay is dependent on experience

NO tools needed. Tools are provided by the client

Long term work  

 

Work scope:

  • They are refreshing A4 fighters for USAF and our allies. These aircraft are used all over the world to train the next generation of fighter pilots. 
  • Located at Falcon Field in beautiful Mesa, Az. 
  • Work will be completed in an air-conditioned hangar. 
  • Scheduled work hours are Monday thru Thursday, 6:30am to 4:30pm.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a valid FAA issued A&P Certificate
  • 2+Years MRO exp
  • Possess good troubleshooting skills
  • Possess excellent communication and people skills
  • Possess problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Be willing to work a variety of shifts which may include night/third shift position including nights, and weekends.
  • Exercise good judgment in working with people in a team environment as well as in aircraft maintenance and safety. 
  • Be at least 18 years of age 
  • Possess a valid unrestricted driver license.
  • Be able to read, write, and understand the English Language
  • Be familiar with Company and Manufacturer Manuals
  • Be able to comfortably lift 60 lbs. routinely with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Displays and promotes a positive attitude toward work and other employees. 

Responsibilities

As an A&P mechanic, you will work on the entire aircraft and effectively troubleshoot our customers’ fleet of A4 Skyhawk aircraft. Maintenance Technicians are responsible to the Director of Maintenance and shall ensure that the procedure outlined in FAA Regulations and manufacturer’s instructions are complied with. In addition to all responsibilities listed below, work involves the responsibility of performing routine maintenance, and major inspections on corporate jet aircraft. Troubleshooting, repair, and modification of aircraft systems and engines is accomplished by this position. In addition, component removal and reinstallation, operational checks, leak checks, and engine runs are all within the responsibility of the A&P. The A&P is responsible for using sound judgment and technical aptitude to make decisions regarding maintenance, sequence, and techniques, troubleshooting and discrepancy resolution.
