Mechanical AssemblerNammo Defense Systems Inc., a defense contractor, manufactures and supports shoulder-fired systems; energetic material solutions such as aircraft emergency escape systems, actuation devices, rocket motors, warheads, medium & large caliber ammunitions, mortar ammunition; and composite solutions including carbon fiber tubes and composite aero-structures.How you will be rewarded as a Mechanical Assembler•Monday-Thursday work week working four 10-hour days•Off on Fridays•Generous paid time off and Holiday Pay•Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance•401(K), employee assistance programs, flexible spending accountPrimary Responsibilities of a Mechanical Assembler•Places parts in specific relationship to each other with extreme accuracy•Operates and tends automatic and manual processing equipment•Uses a variety of hand and power tools, jigs and fixtures•Works at different workstations as production needs require•Performs general daily housekeeping and cleaning of equipment and area to ensure a safe working condition for all employees•Performs general maintenance of equipment as required•Ability to recognize and report all operational variances as trainedExperience Required to be a Mechanical Assembler•High School diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) is required•Experience in manufacturing, assembly, and packaging preferred•Ability to obtain/maintain BATF approval to work with our productsRequired Skills as a Mechanical Assembler•Ability to accurately read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals•Ability to be at work on time and on a consistent basis•Excellent team interaction and communication is a priority for this role•Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently•Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including the movement of materials weighing 5-50 lbs•Ability to obtain BATF approval to engage in certain explosive operationsOur values are the fundamental principles guiding the way we do business and interact with stakeholders.
