ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT- TAX COLLECTION OFFICE 

This position is responsible for providing a broad spectrum of support to the Tax Department in a fast-paced, challenging and rewarding environment. This position will work closely with the Account Supervisors and the Law team on various projects and day to day assignments. Requirements include extensive people, communication, organizational, technical and process skills, and the ability to continuously prioritize multiple projects in a fast paced environment. 

Front desk reception, answer telephones, process tax statements  

Data entry/ Research 

Filing of folders and other items 

Prepare mailing of new letters 

Run Daily/Weekly Queries for collection letters 

Prepare Letter Status Reports and reports for monthly meetings/monthly Tax Collection Report 

Research Match List Report for new accounts, Allegheny County search of mailing addresses 

Process of returned mail using Lexis and Allegheny County searches. 

Scan receipts/ letters 

Prepare Satisfaction paperwork 

Other duties as assigned 

 

Minimum requirements

High school diploma or equivalent. 

Attention to detail. 

Good organizational skills. 

Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel). 

Ability to prioritize work. 

Customer Service Oriented/Experience. 

Proper Telephone etiquette. 

Good computer skills. 

Ability to file. 

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
