Your Role: The Field Tech completes deployments and assists the field team on installations and networking issues. Supporting departmental timelines, company goals and objectives; a successful candidate is a self-starter and requires little to no supervision. With a strong work ethic and a neat, professional appearance, the ideal Field Technician has an attention to detail, advanced troubleshooting skills, and a clean driving record.

What You'll Do:

  • Advise customers, PMs, and various stakeholders daily on site status and issues.
  • Work daily with PMs and Regional Field Supervisor on the deployment of small to medium projects with supervision.
  • Work daily with the support team to identify and resolve issues.
  • Install all utility proprietary hardware daily with supervision.
  • Utilize various software programs daily such as:
    • Office 365
    • Google Suite
    • Microsoft Office Products
    • Polaris and other proprietary programs
  • Identify ongoing issues found in the field and escalate as needed
  • Assist the Operations Team as needed in the areas of:
    • Training (Customers and Team Members)
    • Uniforms (As Extra Help is Needed)
    • Production (As Extra Help is Needed)
  • Documentation of daily tasks performed
  • Sharing of ongoing lessons learned
  • 90% Travel as required
  • Perform other related duties and tasks (As Assigned)

What You Bring:

  • Ability to comprehend technical documentation
  • Ability to think outside the box
  • Understanding of 12-volt systems and low voltage wiring preferred
  • Cat 6 cabling and network wiring
  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
  • Must be flexible, adaptive and forward-thinking
  • Must be eager to learn, continually improve
  • Proficiency in:
    • Microsoft Suite
    • Adobe Creative Suite
    • Microsoft 365
    • Polaris (and other proprietary software)
    • Google Suite products
    • Data Analytics
  • Experience in networking, IT and/or vehicle wiring systems
  • Organized, productive and results-driven
  • Independent worker, contributing creatively with minimal/no supervision
  • Exceptional communication skills (Written and Verbal)
  • Experience with networking and in-car audio installations is preferred.
  • Adaptive, enjoying challenges, persevering, and focusing on getting the job done right the first time.
