Job Summary:

The Regional Multifamily Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations, financial performance, and resident satisfaction of a portfolio of LIHTC multifamily properties within a designated region. This role requires a strategic leader with strong operational, financial, and managerial skills to ensure properties meet and exceed performance targets. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in property management, a deep understanding of the multifamily housing market, and the ability to lead and develop on-site management teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management:

  • Oversee daily operations of LIHTC multifamily properties in Texas, ensuring compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and best practices.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess property conditions, maintenance needs, and staff performance.
  • Implement and monitor property management software and systems for efficiency and accuracy.

Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage property budgets, ensuring financial performance meets or exceeds targets.
  • Analyze financial statements, variance reports, and other financial data to identify trends and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Oversee rent collection, lease administration, and expense control to maximize profitability.

Team Leadership:

  • Recruit, train, and develop on-site property management teams to ensure high levels of performance and job satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, providing feedback and setting goals for property managers and staff.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment that encourages teamwork, professional growth, and retention.

Resident Relations:

  • Ensure resident satisfaction through effective communication, prompt resolution of issues, and delivery of high-quality services and amenities.
  • Oversee resident engagement programs and community events to enhance resident experience and retention.
  • Handle escalated resident concerns and complaints with professionalism and urgency.

Marketing and Leasing:

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract and retain residents, including digital marketing, outreach, and community partnerships.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and rental rates to maintain competitive positioning.
  • Ensure leasing practices comply with Fair Housing laws and company standards.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure all properties comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including Fair Housing, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Implement and monitor safety and emergency preparedness plans.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Property Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in LIHTC multifamily property management, with at least 3 years in a regional or senior management role.
  • Strong knowledge of property management software (e.g., Yardi, RealPage, AppFolio) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proven track record of managing a portfolio of multifamily properties, achieving financial and operational goals.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to travel within the region as required.
