Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to join our team As the Kitchen Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the kitchen and ensure high standards of food quality, hygiene, and customer satisfaction. This role includes managing kitchen staff, coordinating food preparation, and maintaining inventory. The Kitchen Manager will hire, train, and lead staff, ensuring they reflect the restaurants high standards.

Staff Management:
  • Recruit, train, and supervise kitchen staff.
  • Schedule shifts and manage staff rotas.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment.
Food Preparation and Presentation:
  • Ensure all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and consistency.
  • Follow all menu guidelines and keep updated on changes.
  • Monitor portion sizes and presentation of dishes.
  • Ensure timely delivery of food orders.
Health and Safety Compliance:
  • Enforce strict health and hygiene standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular kitchen inspections and audits.
Inventory and Cost Control:
  • Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimize waste.
  • Monitor food costs and implement measures to reduce expenses.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases and inventory.
Customer Service:
  • Handle customer complaints and inquiries.
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
Administrative Duties:
  • Maintain kitchen financial records.
  • Prepare reports on kitchen performance and expenses.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma/GED
  • Proven experience as a kitchen manager, restaurant manager, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of cooking methods, kitchen equipment, and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to remain calm and thrive under pressure.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, restaurant management software, and POS software.
  • A culinary school diploma or degree in food service management or related field is a plus.
