Responsibilities

 

Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review financial statements and reports.
  • Analyze and reconcile accounts and transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulations.
  • Supervise, mentor, and train junior accountants and other staff.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with external auditors, tax consultants, and other stakeholders.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and accounting best practices.
  • Assist with financial planning, forecasting, and risk management.
  • Manage accounting systems and software and recommend improvements.
  • Resolve accounting issues and discrepancies and provide solutions.
  • Assist with accounting projects and initiatives as needed.

 

Requirements

Essential Skills and Experience:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • Five or more years of professional accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks, AJERA and VantagePoint.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and standards, such as GAAP.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of SURI - Hacienda.
