JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client is searching for a PowerBI Specialist to help build a complex data model from their risk platform. This role will require experience in Power BI development and maintenance, enabling support of the workload of existing report maintenance, report enhancements, and new report requests.
- Perform an architectural review of the existing report.
- Create a plan for how to rebuild.
- Following though to completion.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 years+ of experience with Power BI reporting and assisting internal resources with knowledge transfer.
- Experience working with and optimizing complex data relationships in Power BI
- Experience building and using PowerBI development pipelines and change controls.
- In depth understanding of the relationship between Power BI Reports, Semantic Models, Dashboards, workspaces, development pipelines, and Apps.
- Ability to make Power BI visuals / reports from scratch with imported cloud data (primarily SharePoint).
- Understand how to create, modify, and troubleshoot measures / data queries.
- Common troubleshooting includes schema changes, query errors, and auth issues.
- Have a basic understanding of dashboard design.
- Soft skills to work with both technical and less technical customers / co-workers.
- Experience working with stakeholders to ingest their requirements and build dashboard and reports based on those requirements.
