We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper aka Numbers Ninja/ Ledger Master to support our accounting operations. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and is committed to maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records for assigned clients. You will collaborate with our team to ensure compliance and streamline financial reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Recordkeeping:
  • Responsible for recording and maintaining a business' financial transactions, such as purchases, expenses, sales revenue, invoices, and payments.
  • Ensure accurate classification of transactions into appropriate accounts.
  • Maintain general ledger accounts in accordance with GAAP (Generally

Accepted Accounting Principles).

  • Prepare and reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.

Reporting:

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements.
  • Generate ad-hoc financial reports as needed for management and CPAs.

Compliance:

  • Assist in payroll processing and preparation of payroll tax returns.
  • Assist with sales tax calculation and filing (as applicable).

Qualifications Required:

  • Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of bookkeeping experience.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to error-free work.
  • Proficient in QuickBooks or other accounting software.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Preferred:

  • Experience working within an accounting firm or other professional services environment.
