The Bookkeeper will be responsible for recording, reconciling, and maintaining financial transactions and records for a company. This role involves managing accounts payable and receivable, processing payroll, and preparing financial reports. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software.
  2. Process accounts payable transactions, including invoice verification, coding, and payment processing.
  3. Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing clients, posting payments, and following up on outstanding balances.
  4. Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts on a regular basis.
  5. Prepare and process payroll in a timely and accurate manner, including tax withholding and deductions.
  6. Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and financial statement preparation.
  7. Generate and analyze financial reports to provide insights into the companys financial performance.
  8. Collaborate with internal teams to address financial inquiries and resolve discrepancies.

Qualifications:

  1. Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
  2. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
  3. Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  4. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  5. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with team members.
  7. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling financial information.
