Position Overview: We seek an organized, positive, self-motivated team player to join our accounting team. The Staff Accountant will report directly to the VP and collaborate with 3rd party accounting team and sales personnel.


Responsibilities:
• Manage payment software and deposit entries through Caterease & Quick Books
• Prepare bank deposits, and cash banks before events and reconcile cash banks post-event.
• Calculate sales commissions and prepare reports for the Sales team.
• Calculate venue commissions and prepare reports for clients and ownership.
• Maintain company credit card account accuracy and receipt reconciliation.
• Reconcile sales receipts in POS Software (Toast) to bank deposits and QuickBooks.
• Assist with month-end close.                                                                                                                                                                                • Manage AP process utilizing Bill.com
• Calculate monthly sales and meal tax; make state payments.
• Prepare annual 1099s for tax purposes.
• Assist the VP and Finance team with projects and other accounting/administrative tasks.
• Receive and distribute mail; handle filing as needed.


Education and Qualifications:
• Minimum 3 years accounting experience.
• Expertise in QuickBooks, and Bill.com, and advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Strong communication skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Strong reconciliation and balance sheet analysis skills.
• General ledger experience and understanding of monthly financial statement reporting
