Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage payment software and deposit entries through Caterease & Quick Books, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Prepare bank deposits, cash banks, and reconcile cash banks post-event, maintaining a high level of financial accuracy.
  • Calculate sales commissions and prepare reports for the Sales team, providing valuable insights for business growth.
  • Calculate venue commissions and prepare reports for clients and ownership, fostering strong relationships and trust.
  • Maintain company credit card account accuracy and receipt reconciliation, ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
  • Reconcile sales receipts in POS Software (Toast) to bank deposits and QuickBooks, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Assist with month-end close, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Manage AP process, utilizing expertise in financial software to optimize efficiency.
  • Calculate monthly sales and meal tax, making state payments in a timely manner.
  • Prepare annual 1099s for tax purposes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist the VP and Finance team with projects and other accounting/administrative tasks, providing support and expertise as needed.
  • Receive and distribute mail, handle filing as needed, maintaining a organized and efficient work environment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, with expertise in QuickBooks and advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to prioritize tasks, ensuring seamless collaboration with the team.
  • Strong reconciliation and balance sheet analysis skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • General ledger experience and understanding of monthly financial statement reporting, with the ability to interpret and analyze financial data.
