Clover Hill Early Learning Center is a licensed ODJFS preschool and childcare program. We provide services to children ages 6 weeks - 5 years old. The hours of operation are Monday - Friday, 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM. We are currently hiring for a full time (40 hours per week) Preschool Assistant Teacher. The hours for this position are Monday - Friday, 8:45 AM to 5:45 PM.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
  • CDA - Child Development Associates (preferred)
  • Two years working in a childcare environment (preferred)
  • ODJFS licensing and SUTQ knowledge (preferred)
  • Meets all mandated health requirements/clear physical exam
  • Clear FBI & BCI background check

Responsibilities:

  • Assists the Lead Teacher to plan, implement, and evaluate children in all program areas using learning experiences designed to address a wide range of skill and developmental levels.
  • Provide effective instruction using the lesson plan created by the Lead Teacher that enables children to gain knowledge, acquired skills, and develop positive learning behaviors through a variety of supports.
  • Assist children with their development of their language, social, cognitive and motor skills.
  • Stimulates children based on their interest and development.
  • Helps each child to know, accept and take pride in herself/himself and to develop a sense of independence.
  • Provides an environment in which children can learn and practice behaviors which are appropriate and acceptable individually in a group.
  • Upholds program polices and follows administrative procedures.
  • Assists children to meet developmental goals.
  • Collaborates with other staff and participates in on-going professional development opportunities.
  • Maintains an acceptable attendance record and is punctual.
  • Maintains a confidential environment and is trustworthy.
