The SkyWay Group is a small-mid size company (40-50 employees) located in Uvalde, Texas. We offer a variety of services for general aviation and specialize in business jet aircraft maintenance, repair, and restoration.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep of facilities. You will be responsible for ensuring that all systems and structures within the property are functioning properly and safely. This role involves performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing mechanical issues, handling basic repairs, and performing other tasks needed around the facility.   

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

·         Conduct general maintenance and repair tasks such as painting and minor electrical and plumbing issues.

·         Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner.

·         Conduct regular inspections of buildings, equipment, and systems to identify and address issues before they become problematic.

·         Work on projects as assigned by SkyWay.

·         Mow, weed eat, and outdoor upkeep, including landscaping and general grounds cleaning when required.

·         Perform janitorial duties as needed or assigned.

·         Perform tasks such as replacing light bulbs, changing air filters, and cleaning machinery or equipment.

·         Maintain accurate logs and records of all maintenance and repair activities.

·         Other duties as assigned

·         Must be able to lift and carry 50lbs.

·         Must be able to stand, walk, and perform physical labor for extended periods.

·         Must be comfortable working in various environments (indoor/outdoor, heights, confined spaces).
 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Must have proven experience in general maintenance or related roles.
  • Technical or trade school certifications are a plus.
  • Basic skills in carpentry, painting, and general repair.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.
