Job DescriptionJob Description

A. POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for the administrative management of care provided to person’s receiving services living in assigned residences. Directly supervises Assistant Director of Residential Services, Residential Coordinator, Nutritionist, BIS, and Program Coordinators. Oversees operations to ensure the fulfillment of the agency‘s mission and Person-Centered Planning.

B. POSITION DUTIES:

1. Provides direction and training to the Assistant Director of Residential Services, Residential Coordinator, Nutritionist, BIS, and Program Coordinators in areas related to the daily operation of all residences.

2. Set performance standards and provide modeling, support and training needed for staff to achieve standards. Liaison with Agency’s training department to ensure all training needs are addressed.

3. Oversees monitoring of the Residential Habilitation Plans, IPOPs, staff support billing forms and Monthly Notes for accuracy and compliance to applicable standards, regulations and signs off as required.

4. Conducts regularly scheduled and special team meetings with Management and Clinical Personnel to address issues related to the people receiving our services.

5. Ensures compliance with federal, state and local regulations, as well as Agency policy and procedures.

6. Participates as a member of the Quality Improvement Reviews that are conducted by the Quality Management Department. Reviews results/recommendations and ensures that appropriate corrective action(s) are taken. Ensures management personnel implements recommendations made by the incident review committee within set time frames.

7. Provides oversight to Supervisors to ensure scheduling, deployment and payroll is completed for each shift within budgetary guidelines.

8. Responsible for interviewing, hiring, supervising, evaluating, and providing guidance to management.

9. Develops and ensures implementation of the plan of corrective action for all audits and fire safety plans.

10. Develops and implements fire safety plans.

11. Participates in the development and oversight of the budget for each residence. Provides oversight for personal and agency funds.

12. Ensures all residences are clean, safe and well maintained at all times.

C. REQUIREMENTS:

1. Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a related human services field required. M.S. preferred.

2. Knowledge of applicable Home and Community based waiver services and IRA and/or ICF requirements.

3. Minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience and working with people with developmental disabilities. (preferred)

4. Must be able to provide weekend administrative coverage as scheduled and work flexible hours as needed.

5. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.

6. Upon completion of agency Van Certification course, transports individuals served to activities or events in the community.

7. Upon completion of agency Medication Administration course, administers medications and documents appropriately.

8. Performs all job responsibilities in full compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Adheres to the agency’s corporate compliance program, including the code of business conduct, the NYS and federal false claims acts, whistleblower protections and mandatory reporting. Completes corporate compliance training at least annually. Fully cooperates in all corporate compliance investigations and reviews.

Directly:

Assistant Director of Residential Services, Residential Administrative Support Assistant, Director of Nutrition Services, BIS and Program Coordinators.

Indirectly:

All other Residential staff.
