RN Clinical Manager

At Optum NY, we're seeking a skilled RN Clinical Manager to lead our Joint Care team. As a key member of our Care Delivery team, you'll play a vital role in shaping the future of healthcare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily staffing and skill mix discussions with the Nursing Supervisor to ensure optimal patient care.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to review and adjust skill mix to meet patient care needs.
- Conduct regular rounds with physicians and APCs to gather feedback on staff performance, patient care, and workflow standards.
- Engage with staff, patients, and families to identify opportunities for improving patient care and organizational services.
- Work closely with the Director of Operations to optimize physician/APC support and office operations.
- Encourage problem-solving and continuous quality improvement among clinical teams.
- Review staff clinical competency and ensure proficiency in skills.
- Communicate effectively with staff and leadership through regular meetings and updates.
- Lead small and large-scale change initiatives, considering organizational culture, core values, and employee perspectives.
- Coach and mentor the Nursing Supervisor, Team Leaders, Lead Clinical Preceptors, and clinical staff.
- Initiate and lead practice performance improvement and innovation projects.
- Participate in hiring decisions and candidate interviews.
- Monitor and manage departmental expenses, including staff hours, education, travel, equipment, and supplies.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Registered Nurse licensed to practice in New York State (NYS) with current NYS registration and in good standing.
- Current BLS certification (preferred).
- 3+ years of leadership experience (preferred).
