Overview for Service Plumber Our client seeking a skilled and experienced Service Plumber to oversee residential plumbing service and repair projects. The Residential Service Plumber is responsible for providing efficient and effective plumbing services to residential clients. This includes diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems such as water supply, drainage, and gas lines. The plumber will also be responsible for installing new plumbing systems and fixtures, ensuring that all work complies with local plumbing codes and regulations.

Responsibilities of Service Plumber:

  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fittings, fixtures, water heaters, and other plumbing-related equipment.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and repairs for issues such as leaks, clogs, and low water pressure.
  • Install and repair gas lines, ensuring safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Perform routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify potential issues.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on plumbing systems to avoid costly repairs and downtime.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and explaining repair processes clearly.
  • Offer recommendations for system improvements and upgrades.
  • Ensure cleanliness and respect for clients' homes during and after service.
  • Ensure all work complies with local and national plumbing codes and safety standards.
  • Follow company policies and procedures regarding safety, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Accurately document work performed, including time spent and materials used.
  • Provide detailed service reports and invoices to clients.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members and supervisors to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Assist in training junior plumbers or apprentices as required.

Qualifications for Service Plumber:

  • Valid plumbing license as required by the state or locality.
  • Certification in backflow prevention, gas fitting, or other specialized areas is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, and tools.
  • Proficient in diagnosing and repairing a variety of plumbing issues.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Physical ability to perform the tasks required, including lifting heavy objects and working in confined spaces.
  • Willingness to work on-call shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
