Contract position - Flexible Hours available
 

  • We are an integrative behavioral healthcare clinic specializing in
    personal development, trauma-informed care, PTSD, substance abuse, and palliative care.
    As the 17th Floor. VIP Clinician, you will be an integral part of our clinical team. You will play a
    vital role in integrating behavioral health care with overall wellness to successfully ensure that
    our clients receive all services necessary to experience optimal physical and mental health.
    Daily, you will conduct screenings and assessments, provide trauma-informed individual, family,
    and group therapy (when assigned) and, in conjunction with our medical team, create
    individualized treatment plans that address holistic health care needs. You are responsible for
    ensuring that our clients receive swift access to care, that performance outcomes are met, and
    that Clients experience satisfaction with services (Triple AIM). Furthermore, you recognize and
    respect the inherent rights of privacy, confidentiality, dignity, and respect of all persons (HIPAA),
    and are capable of coordinating and consulting with other staff and service providers to support
    the attainment of treatment goals and positive outcomes for Clients.
     
  • Job Duties
    1. Provide brief assessment and referral, behavioral interventions, education, and short term
    follow up for primary care Clients with mental health, substance abuse, and medical compliance
    issues.
    2. Develop joint plans with patients on behavioral health aspects of patient's care.
    3. Use the Clinic's EMR system to document clinical work, produce billing, collect service data,
    and maintain a schedule as well as to communicate information to other clinic providers.
    4. Provide and schedule crisis intervention and follow-up visits as needed.
    5. Willingness to acquire basic knowledge of psychopharmacology. Committed to on-going
    learning about new medications and treatments commonly used for mental disorders and
    substance abuse.
    6. Provide education and support to Clients and their families to encourage compliance with
    medical and behavioral regimes.
    7. Develop and maintain procedures, protocols on an ongoing basis to ensure the program's
    relevance and effectiveness for Clients and Clinic staff.
    8. Work closely with the Clinical Supervisor and Office Administrator to facilitate administrative
    aspects of the program.
    9. Attended medical provider meetings, all staff meetings and behavioral health team meetings
    as scheduled.
    10. Provide your frank and considered opinion regarding quality improvement.
    11. Schedule appointments, prioritize referrals, write brief case summaries, and facilitate feedback
    and follow-up.
    12. Provide mental health assessments and assist with diagnosis based on DSM criteria.
    13. Provide Behavioral Health care to satellite clinics as needed; may be asked to work variable
    schedule during extended-hour clinics (e.g., 10am-7pm on one or more days).
    14. Other duties may be assigned.
     
  • Minimum Requirements
    Education and/or Experience:
    Licensed clinical social worker or licensed professional counselor; Previous clinical experience should
    include assessment and diagnosis, brief individual psychotherapy, group work, and crisis intervention.
    knowledge of state regulations and standards related to client treatment, patient rights, and client/patient
    confidentiality. Familiarity with psychopharmacology is helpful; demonstrated ability to work effectively
    on a team preferably in a primary care environment. Previous experience collaborating with and
    providing information to medical personnel is desirable.
  • Language Skills: Must be fluent in English with the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general
    business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be computer literate and
    knowledgeable using an Apple iPad or similar tablet for electronic signature, form completion, and
    completion of notes in EMR system.
  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
    Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
    Current CPR and First Aid Certification
    Fingerprint clearance preferred
