Payroll Tax Specialist – Entry Level
Since 1988, Southland Employment Services specializes in placing entry-level staff, technically skilled and industrial workers, light-industrial and logistics personnel, and clerical and administrative staff in a variety of diverse business sectors.
Southland Employment has grown substantially in recent years and needs an entry-level Payroll Tax Specialist to help support our growing organization. We are looking for someone with a passion for numbers, crazy about details and a willingness to learn.
This position will be onsite for training with the possibility of going hybrid at a later time. This position works out of our corporate office in Bell, California.
Do you have these skills?
· Precision Data Entry Skills
· Attentive and accurate detail capability
· Crazy about deadlines. You get the job done
· Very comfortable with Computers and working different software.
· Wants to learn more about the complexities of tax, government systems, and reporting not only for California but nationally.
· Recent Business degree. 1-2 years of office experience is acceptable in lieu of degree.
· Intermediate level ability with Excel including basic formulas and formatting
· Communication skills to write professional emails to anyone.
· Be Organized. You must be able to manage many different tasks throughout the day, get interrupted and still keep track of your to-dos and deadlines.
· Be Adventurous. You love a challenge and enjoy taking on something you haven’t done before
· Be Independent and Team Oriented. You work well both as an individual and in a team towards the common goal of a successful day for the department & the company.
