As the Healthcare Technician, you will keep people safe by performing the onsite installation of nurse call, security and fire life safety systems such as EST3, Lenel, and Ascom within occupied Healthcare facilities and new construction sites. You will install devices, pull wire, and perform basic construction. Excellence is our number one goal, which means you will be expected to display an understanding of electrical regulations, construction requirements, material and device functions as well as industry standards.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform demolition, construction rough ins, wire pulling, material staging, project prep and clean up.
  • Run cat5/cat6 wire, terminate cable, keystones, and RJ45.
  • Install fire alarm, security, and nurse call devices and make sure they are working properly 
  • Read blueprints and schematics. 
  • Keep work area clean 
  • Follow the Lead/Foreman instructions to get the job done
  • Operate basic hand tools and power tools. 
  • Keep yourself and others safe 

Position Requirements: 

  • 2+ years in low voltage installation preferably installing security, nurse call and fire life safety systems
  • High school diploma (or equivalent)
  • Travel: Valid California Driver License and proof of auto insurance.
  • Punctuality: Get to work on time.
  • Must be able to work weekends, nights, split shifts, and rotating shifts (if needed).
  • Must be able to get required immunizations and vaccinations in accordance with facility regulations. 

We also conduct pre-employment drug screening in accordance with Federal Contractor regulations and background checks in accordance with State and local regulations.

Physical Demands & Work Environments:

  • Repetitive substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
  • Walk, drive, bend, stoop, hear, and speak
  • Move/transport/install/remove items weighing 50+ pounds
  • Drive for 2+ hours in a work shift/days
  • You may work at extreme heights occasionally, and an indoor environment under all temperature variations.  Confined spaces may occasionally be required.
  • Work is performed in occupied hospitals and other medical facilities within close proximity of patients, and on new construction sites.
