SUMMARY: Astiva Health, Inc. is looking for a pharmacy technician who is passionate about providing quality healthcare to the Medicare population, serving individual member needs. The ideal candidate should have at least 1-2 years of prior experience in health plans and Medicare. The pharmacy technician is responsible for various administrative and clinical tasks, contributing directly to the effective management of medication therapies and promoting positive health outcomes for our members.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Be knowledgeable in procedures, protocols, benefits, services, and any other necessary information to resolve member issues and inquiries; serve as a “pharmacy subject matter expert”.
  • Conduct member/pharmacy/provider office outreach phone calls and / or receiving inbound phone calls help resolve any drug access issues/concerns
  • Collaborate with cross functionally to facilitate the member experience
  • Support oversight, monitoring, and clinical support Part D & B pharmacy benefits collaboration with PBM
  • Develop and maintain best pharmacy practices
  • Identify members targeted for care gaps and other campaigns and connect members to programs or services when appropriate; analyze available programs, determine program eligibility, and connect members to appropriate provider or vendor.
  • Provide customer service and contribute to a culture of going “above and beyond” to ensure the highest level of member satisfaction.
  • Participate in all required team meetings and trainings and exhibit satisfactory understanding of new information and process.
  • Adhere to all applicable attendance and productivity policies.
  • Support other projects and duties as assigned by management
  • Regular and consistent attendance
  • Other duties as assigned


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a pharmacy technician training program preferred.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential or willingness to obtain certification within a specified timeframe.
  • Minimum of 1 year of prior experience working in a health plan.
  • Proficiency in pharmacy software systems and computer applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy documentation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and standards governing pharmacy practice.
