One of our clients - a global manufacturing company - is currently looking for a Field Service Technician. This position is Direct Hire and Non-Exempt, paying up to $55K per year. Relocation support available.

 

Position Summary:

  • Perform duties to provide installation and repair services for customers

  • Provide technical expertise in support of sales staff

Job Responsibilities

On-site duties:

  • Installing parts on equipment, completing build of machinery for delivery to customers

  • Communicating with customers to determine installation requirements

  • Ordering parts for use in installation or maintenance calls (delivered to customer)

Off-site duties:

  • Traveling to the client site

  • Installing new machinery and ensuring the proper operation of equipment at customer’s site

  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to mechanical operations.

  • Traveling with sales representative, providing technical support for potential customers

  • Receiving and reviewing quarterly schedule (updated weekly).

  • Documenting and reporting travel activities and expenses.

  • Entering the information in the online system in compliance with schedule and policies.

Job Requirements:

  • HS diploma required

  • Higher education (certificate, degree, etc.) in mechanical/technical discipline a plus

  • Willingness to travel at least 70%, domestically and internationally

  • Willingness to learn required terminology and proper handling of injection molding equipment

  • Independent, with excellent time management and decision-making skills

  • Ability to lift up to 70lbs

  • Microsoft Office skills

  • Valid driver's license
